Russell (CMR) National Wildlife Refuge. The property is located less than ten miles to the east of Fort Peck Reservoir, which is one of the largest bodies of water in Montana. There are over 45 different fish species that inhabit Fort Peck, producing multiple state record fish. A mix of rolling plains, badlands, and river valleys characterizes the topography around this area. Just half an hour from Fort Peck Dam and less than 10 miles from Rock Creek Marina, it is easy to imagine days spent on the Fort Peck Lake/Reservoir, casting to walleyes, smallmouth bass, northern pike, lake trout, and chinook salmon.
