Music and Concerts


Music on Main: This popular concert series runs every Thursday night from July 11 to August 15, featuring bands like North Fork Crossing, Float Like a Buffalo, and Michael Weber. Main Street is closed off to thru traffic, featuring speciality drinks from bars and various food vendors. 
Big Sky Country State Fair: From July 17-21, enjoy performances by Ludacris, Hairball, and Joe Nichols at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds​ (gallatincountyfairgrounds.com)​​ (visitbozeman.com)​.
Music in the Mountains: Head to Big Sky for this free concert series held every Thursday evening at Center Stage in Town Center Park. The series runs from June through September and features a diverse lineup of bands and musicians​. Click the link to find out more (bigskytowncenter.com).

Festivals and Fairs

Sweet Pea Festival: This annual festival has been happening in Bozeman since 1977. Held from August 2-4, this arts festival features entertainment in many forms. Enjoy live music of different genres, local theater and dance performances, arts and crafts vendors, family-friendly activities, and a fun run​. There are many community events happening the week leading up to the festival which are free. To enter the festival you do need to purchase a wristband. Click this link for more information. Summer Crazy Days: From July 19-21, downtown Bozeman will host its annual sidewalk sale with over 100 merchants offering great deals on spring and summer merchandise. There’s a little something for everyone, don’t miss out on these bargains! ​ Timing is 10am-5pm, however hours may vary depending on the business (downtownbozeman.org)​. 
Summer SLAM Festival: SLAM is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts and art education in the state. The 2024 Summer SLAM festival is scheduled for August 3rd & 4th at Bogert Park in Bozeman. Showcasing the amazing talent Montana has to offer, this family friendly event features an artists' market, artist demonstrations, live music and performances, a culinary delights food court, Montana made libations garden, silent auction, and family activities. Big Sky Country State Fair: As noted above, this takes place at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds from July 17-21. Enjoy multiple concerts, carnival rides, exhibits, and competitions (gallatincountyfairgrounds.com).


Farmer’s Markets

Bozeman Farmers Market: Enjoy fresh produce, artisanal goods, and live music at the Bozeman Farmers’ Market every Tuesday at Lindley Park through September. Click the link for more information​ (bozemanfarmersmarket.org)​. Part of the market proceeds are dedicated to the preservation and improvement of Bozeman parks. 
Gallatin Valley Farmers Market: Every Saturday now through September 14th at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds, Haynes Pavilion from 9am-12pm. Find produce, artisanal goods, and more! Note that July 13th and 20th it will be held at Story Mansion due to the Big Sky Country State Fair. 
Big Sky Farmers Market: Every Wednesday 5-8pm from now till September 25th. Located at the Big Sky Town Center. The market stretches from Town Center Plaza, along Town Center Ave. and over to Fire Pit Park (bigskytowncenter.com).
Livingston Farmers Market: Every Wednesday from 4:30-7:30pm from now until September 18th. Located at Miles Park Band Shell (westernsustainabilityexchange.org).
Wednesdays at the Emerson: This recurring event every Wednesday in July features local artists, food trucks, lawn games and live music at the Emerson Center for Arts and Culture. Lunch on the lawn is 11:30-1:30pm. Community Open Mike Night is 5-8pm​ (visitbozeman.com)​.

Hoot at Crosscut: On July 27, The Hoot at Crosscut is a premier mountain bike event hosted by Crosscut Mountain Sports Center in beautiful Bridger Canyon. Shakespeare in the Park: For the 52nd season, MSIP is on tour to various locations around Montana. The Winter's Tale will be performed in Big Sky at the Town Center Plaza on July 27th at 6:00pm.
